Well, it's that time of year again! It's time to go back to school. I am a little excited. I mean, summer is fun, but sometimes, you miss doing school everyday, and you feel like you have nothing to do. It's kind of like watermelon, you eat it all summer until you hate it, and then all winter long all you do is dream about it! Same thing with summers. You miss school all summer long, but then halfway through the school year, you can't wait for it to be summer again.
STUDY STUDY STUDY!!!!!
So this year is a big one for me BECAUSE: It is my first year in high school!!! 9th grade, YAY!!!! So yeah kind of excited about that, but a little scared too. Makes me wonder if I am ready for it. I remember when I was in like 3rd and 4th grade, and my dad was the teen leader at our church. I hung out with the teens a lot because I went with my parents on the outings. Anyway, I always dreamed about what I would be like when I was in 9th and 10th grade! Well, here I am!! I couldn't wait until I was older, and now sometimes, I just wish I was a kid again! 4 years from now, I will be graduating, BUT I would rather not think about that!!
But anyway, for those of you that don't like school, don't think about it as this thing that parents make us do and you can't wait until its over, but think about it as an opportunity to learn more. That way, when you are older, you will be able to do something with your life.

Okay, so there are alot of things in this world that we have, and we never really think about it. For one thing, there's food and clothing and other material things. Then there's other things like things we can't see, such as the air we breathe. Then there's people. And this is my main point. We have our families. I think families are a gift from God so we don't get to lonely, and we have someone to love us and we can love them back. But you know, sometimes, we take them for granted. We never think about how much mom cooks and cleans for the whole family. We never think about how hard dad works to support the family. Families are amazing in my opinion. We also have friends. Friends I think are another awesome gift from God. I am trying to think of what I would do if I didn't have friends, and I realized that I would be a lonely person with no one to have fun with. I mean I would still have my family, but there's nothing like a friend. Good friends listen to you, laugh with you and at you, make fun of you and you to them, and is basically there for you. I am happy to say that I have quite a few of these. But you know, there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother? Jesus is my best friend in the whole wide world. Next month, I will celebrate one year of being saved. And I have to say, it has been an amazing journey. Jesus has taught me a lot from His Word. You know I have been thinking a lot about what God has done with me, and I think now that none of this would have happened if we had not come to Thailand. I got saved for one thing, and that might not have happened if I had stayed in the states. I have made many new friends and I wouldn't have met any of them if I hadn't come to Thailand. And I teach Sunday School to the kids at church. You know, it is really hard to be a teacher if you aren't really saved yourself. It is really hard to be a teacher if you don't practice what you teach. But throughout this whole year, God has taught me so much. Reading His Word is one of my most favorite things to do. I have also found that sometimes it is hard to stand for God, and do to do what's right. But if you really trust in God, and I mean trust Him fully with all your heart, He will help you to get through trials and temptations.
